Dwayne Shackleford To Miss 3-5 Weeks Due To Injury

Oct. 19, 2004

USC junior point guard Dwayne Shackleford will be out 3-5 weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on Monday for a lateral meniscus tear suffered in practice last Saturday.

Shackleford, who came to USC from Allegany College in Allegany, PA, should be back in time for the Trojans' opener against UC Irvine on Nov. 22.

The 5-10 junior is expected to provide an instant boost to USC's backcourt this season.
