Stahle Helps Sweden to Win at Women's World Amateur

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico - Freshman Louise Stahle helped Sweden to a first-place finish at the Women's World Amateur Championships, held Oct. 20-23 at the Rio Mar Country Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
Stahle shot a two-under 70 on Saturday and finished in a tie for ninth with a four-round total of even-par 288 (75-71-72-70).
She was joined by Oklahoma State's Karin Sjodin and California's Sofie Andersson on the winning Swedish team, which shot a four-under 140 on Saturday for a four-round total of nine-under 567. The Swedes finished three strokes ahead of the United States and Canada, which tied for second at six-under 570.
Sjodin and Julieta Granada of Paraguay tied for first in the tournament at eight-under 280, while Andersson tied for 31st.
