Lepp Shoots 73 at World Amateur Team Championship

Rio Grande, Puerto Rico - Washington junior James Lepp shot 1-over 73 and is in 59th place overall at the World Amateur Team Championships in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Lepp is a native of Abbotsford, British Columbia. Lepp's score helped Canada to a 16th-place finish after the opening round of play at the four-day event.

The tournament features 66 three-man teams competing at the Rio Mar Country Club's Ocean and River Courses. Puyallup native Ryan Moore posted a 7-under 65 to grab the early lead for the United States. The Americans top the field at 12-under 132. Canada's team score was 1-under 143.
