NOTES FROM WASHINGTON STATE vs. USC
--First time WSU has been under 200 yards of total offense since Colorado game in 1996.
--WSU's third quarter TD was the 12th time this season the Cougs had a scoring drive of a minute or less this season and the 41st time over the last three seasons.
--Michael Bumpus has 289 yards on punt returns, sixth best in WSU's single season records...he also caught his first TD reception in his career.
-- Pat Bennett's TD was the first interception for a TD since Bennett had an interception for a 39-yard TD against Arizona State n 2003.
--USC's 35-point first half output was the most against Washington State since Stanford put up 38 in 1999...the Trojans' 21 points in the first quarter was the most against WSU in the opening stanza since giving up the same number against Oregon in 1998...dating back to 1986, the Cougars largest halftime deficits came against USC in 1993 (27-0) and Stanford in 1987 (41-7).
--Reggie Bush's 57-yard punt return for a touchdown in the first quarter was the first punt return for a touchdown against Washington State since the 2003 Rose Bowl...Oklahoma's Antonio Perkins took a punt back 51 yards for a score in that contest.
--Reggie Bush has now scored TDs in four different ways in his career - rushing, receiving, kickoff return and today, a punt return...he has also thrown a TD pass.
--Washington State posted an 0-4 record this October with losses to Oregon, Stanford, Oregon State, and USC...the last time the Cougars had a winless October was in 1998, when they also went 0-4 (UCLA, Oregon, USC and Arizona State).
--This was USC largest margin of victory over WSU since 31 in 1993.
