Nov. 6, 2004

Ann Arbor, Mich. - The UCLA women's doubles team of Daniela Bercek and Riza Zalameda dropped a very close doubles match Saturday in the semifinals of the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships at the University of Michigan Varsity Tennis Center.

Just two wins away from the title, Bercek and Zalameda lost a marathon tiebreaker to Northwestern's Audra Cohen and Cristelle Grier, 9-8 (15-13). Saturday's loss concludes UCLA's involvement in the tournament, as Bercek was beaten in the first round of singles on Thursday and Zalameda fell in Friday's round of 16.
