Men's Tennis Competes At SCTA Championships

LOS ANGELES - Three USC men's tennis players, including Brian Wright, Kaes Van't Hof and Adam Loucks, competed at the 48th Annual Southern California Intercollegiates Championships at the Los Angeles Tennis Club this weekend.
Van't Hof, who entered the tournament in the qualifying rounds, won two matches before falling in the first round of the main draw to top-seeded and eventual champion Luben Pampoulov of UCLA. Van't Hof fell 6-2, 6-4 to Pampoulov who defeated Alabama's Luigi D'Agord for the title on Sunday.
Wright, who entered in the main draw, beat Kevin Borzenski of Pepperdine, 3-6, 6-1, 6-1, in the first round before falling to Brian Morton of UC Irvine, 6-0, 6-3, in the Round of 16.
Wright and Loucks also competed in doubles. The pair got past Anar Sigurdsson and Vladamir Zvravkovic of Pacific, 8-5, in the opener, but were eliminated by BYU's Dominik Kaufhold and James Ludlow, 8-6, in the second round.
