James Twellman Earns Academic All-District Accolades

Eugene, Ore - Stanford senior James Twellman was selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII team, announced today. It marked the second straight selection for Twellman, who has posted a 3.73 grade point average as an International Relations major at Stanford.
Twellman has seen action in 68 games during his career on The Farm, with 44 starts. He has scored nine career goals, and has tallied 25 career points. The Chesterfield, Missouri native is a two-time Pac-10 All-Academic First Team performer, and has earned Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 honors twice during his Cardinal career. This season, the defender has started 11 contests on the Stanford back line, and scored a goal against Cal State Fullerton. He was also named the MVP of the Mi Cocina Classic, hosted by SMU, in early September.
The men's Academic All-District soccer team was voted on by CoSIDA members from within the District VIII states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and the province of British Columbia. The all-district selections advance to the national ballot, which will be released November 22.
