Nov. 8, 2004

TEMPE, Ariz. -- It was a banner day for the Arizona State men's tennis team as they claimed both the singles and doubles title at the Milwaukee Collegiate Tennis Tournament in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

In singles title match, Christopher Biro defeated teammate and fifth-seeded Andy Colombo in a hard fought three-set match, 7-6, 3-6, 6-1. Biro reeled off six straight wins in the tournament only dropping two sets the entire time. The title is Biro's second in the past two weeks after he won the ASU/Thunderbird Invitational. He also ends the fall campaign on an 11-match win streak.

In the doubles championship, Colombo and Jonathan Kinsella showed why they were the tournament's top-seed as they earned the title with an 8-4 victory over Marquette's Troy Delmege and Pete Van Lieshout. After earning a bye in the first round, the duo won the next four matches to earn the title.

This ends the Sun Devils' 2004 fall schedule and will next hit the court in dual play, hosting New Mexico State on Saturday, February 5 at 12:00 p.m.
