Men's Basketball Completes Exhibition Schedule With 94-56 Win Over The Masters College

Los Angeles - Senior forward Jeff McMillan scored a team-high 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting to lead six Trojans in double figures as the USC men's basketball team completed its exhibition schedule with a 94-56 win over NAIA The Masters College on Friday at the Lyon Center.

USC's balanced attack also yielded 14 points from guard Errick Craven, 13 points center Rory O'Neil, 12 points apiece from forwards Nick Curtis and Emanuel Willis and 10 points from forward Nick Young, who added a game-high 10 rebounds.

'Our defense was good tonight,' said Trojan coach Henry Bibby. 'We shared the ball well and our chemistry was good. Guys were looking for each other. Overall, I was very pleased with our performance.

'We're on the right track. The kids have bought in.'

The game was knotted early at seven points apiece before USC went on a 17-2 run on its way to building a 49-22 halftime lead.

The Trojans shot 59.1% from the field, outrebounded The Masters 41-21 and had 21 assists to the Mustangs' eight.

USC has beaten each of its two exhibition opponents by 38 points.

The Trojans will play their 2004-2005 season opener on Nov. 22 against UC Irvine, with tipoff at 7:30 p.m. at the Sports Arena.
