ESPN's 'College GameDay' Makes Return Visit To Coliseum This Saturday For USC-Notre Dame Game
Nov. 22, 2004
ESPN's 'College GameDay,' the popular college football pre-game show featuring Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso, will return to the Coliseum for the second time this season when it originates from outside the east peristyle this Saturday (Nov. 27) prior to the USC and Notre Dame game.
'College GameDay' made its first-ever appearaance at a USC home game at this year's California game and more than 3,000 fans showed up.
The ESPN production crew called it one of the best crowds they'd ever had and are hoping that Trojan--and, yes, even Irish--fans show up in similar numbers this Saturday.
The show will begin with a taped segment at 7 a.m. PT for ESPN's 'SportsCenter,' then will go live from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. PT. The show then will have live 'Scoreboard' and 'SportsCenter' segments leading into top-ranked USC's game versus the Irish at 5 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to watch the show in person--and appear in the frequent televised crowd shots--as Fowler, Herbstreit and Corso talk about the day's games. There will be a large video board on the set showing live coverage of games on ESPN and ESPN2.
