Lawrence Receives All-Pac-10 Honors

Walnut Creek, Calif. - Oregon State's Allison Lawrence received honorable mention honors on the All-Pacific-10 Volleyball Team, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced Monday.

Stanford's Ogonna Nnamani was named Pac-10 Player of the Year, and Washington's Christal Morrisonwas selected as the conference's Freshman of the Year. Washington's Jim McLaughlin was named Coach of the Year.

Lawrence has received All-Pac-10 honors twice. She leads the Beavers with 395 kills (3.39 kpg), is second in digs with 336 (3.29 dpg), tied for second in aces with 23 (0.23 sapg), leads the team with 431 points (4.23 ppg) and ranks among the top 10 in the Pac-10 in all but service aces.

Lawrence is also second in the Pac-10 for the number of double-double matches this season. Earlier this season, Lawrence also captured the fifth place spot in the Oregon State record books in career kills with 1,225.

This is the second week in a row that the Pac-10 has honored Lawrence. The league announced the All-Pacific-10 Academic Team last week with Lawrence earning first team honors.
