Pluimer had 13 points in the second half, when the Bruins (4-1) built on a29-27 lead they held at the break.
UCLA shot only 29 percent in the first half, but made 17 of 30 shots afterthe break. The Bruins also kept the Waves (1-5) scoreless for four minutes inthe second half and extended their lead to 58-39 in that span.
The Bruins also got 14 points from Lisa Willis.
The Waves were led by Lauren Wenski with 16 points and Jennifer Lacy with15.
