Both No. 24 ARIZONA (6-1 overall) and ARIZONA STATE (6-1) travel to Athens, Ga., to take on the 11th-ranked Lady Bulldogs this week, with the Sun Devils visiting Stegeman Coliseum on Tuesday and the Wildcats due in town on Sunday... The Pac-10 is just 1-3 against opponents from the SEC this season... The Conference posts an .800 mark (4-5) versus ranked non-conference teams this year, following a 6-19 showing (.240) in 2003-04... Both OREGON (5-0) and No. 2 STANFORD (5-0) remain perfect on the season, with the Cardinal improving to No. 2 in last week's USA Today/ESPN/WBCA Coaches' poll, its highest ranking in either poll since the 2001-02 season... Stanford women's basketball will play the first game in newly renovated Maples Pavilion Friday night, when Pepperdine visits The Farm... ARIZONA: SR G Dee-Dee Wheeler averaged 18.3 points. 5.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds in three home wins last week to help Arizona extend its home winning streak to 32 games, the second longest in the nation... Wheeler was named MVP of the Mission Management & Trust 2004 Fiesta Classic... UA, which ranks second in the league in scoring (76.1 ppg) notched 98 points in its Dec. 4 win over UNC Greensboro, the second-highest single-game output in the Pac-10 this season... With 174 career blocks, JR C Shawntinice Polk needs just three more to break into the Pac-10's all-time top six in that category.

ARIZONA STATE: SR G Kylan Loney was named the Tournament MVP of the Wells Fargo Holiday Classic, averaging 15.5 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.0 rebounds in ASU's wins over Alabama State (71-31) and Gonzaga (77-58)... Arizona State ranks second in the Pac-10 in scoring margin (+25.0 ppg), and has won its last five games by an average of 35.2 points per contest... JR F Kristen Kovesdy had a season-high 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting in the Dec. 4 win over Gonzaga and is shooting a Pac-10-leading 69.8 percent from the floor on the season.

CALIFORNIA: FR C Jessica Lawson was named MVP of the inaugural Contra Costa Times Classic, averaging 16.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in the Bears' two victories over Cal State Northridge and Tennessee Tech... Cal claimed consecutive titles at its own tournament for the first time since 1991-95... The Bears lead the Pac-10 in scoring (76.3 ppg), while two players, SR F Leigh Gregory (15.2 ppg, 6th)) and Lawson (13.5 ppg, 9th), rank among the league's top-10 in scoring... SO G Sarah Pool, who missed last season with a back injury, is averaging a Pac-10 second-best 6.83 assists per game.

OREGON: The Ducks' 64-40 defeat of George Washington on Dec. 4 marked the Colonials' lowest scoring output since 1988... It was also the fewest points Oregon has allowed since holding Boise State to 29 in 2001.. . UO is limiting its opponents to an average of 52.2 points per game, third in the Pac-10... SO F Eleanor Haring has made 18 of her last 20 field goal attempts... The Ducks lead the Conference in field goal percentage at 49.1 percent (130-of-265).

OREGON STATE: JR F Kim Butler averaged 20.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in two games last week, as OSU fell to Creighton (76-75) and UC Santa Barbara (76-71)... Butler, who has reached double figures in scoring in four of Oregon State's first six games, shot 57.7 percent from the field on the week... The loss to Creighton snapped OSU's string of 12 straight wins in home openers... SR G Shannon Howell paces the Pac-10 in scoring at 23.3 ppg.

STANFORD: In the midst of an 11-day break for final exams, the Cardinal climbed to No. 2 in last week's USA Today/ESPN/WBCA Coaches' poll, its highest national ranking in either poll since the 2001-02 season... Stanford Women's Basketball will be the first to play in the newly renovated Maples Pavilion when the Cardinal host Pepperdine Friday night... FR G Candice Wiggins leads the team in scoring (15.4 ppg) and is the Pac-10's leading freshman scorer.

UCLA: Off to their best start since the 1982-83 season, the Bruins have notched two wins over top 15 programs, dropping then-No. 4/4 Texas on Nov. 28 and No. 14/13 Purdue on Dec. 5... UCLA is now 5-0 when SO G Noelle Quinn scores 20 or more points... Quinn leads the team and ranks second in the Pac-10 with a 21.2 points per game average... FR C Lindsey Pluimer is second on the squad (to Quinn) in rebounding (6.2 rpg) and leads the league's freshmen in that category.

USC: SR F Rachel Woodward notched her second career double-double and the first for a USC player this season with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the 21-point win over Loyola Marymount... SO C ChloƩ Kerr matched Woodward with 11 rebounds of her own, far surpassing her former career-high of four... The Women of Troy, who begin finals week on Wednesday, travel to San Diego for a Tuesday night matchup and host South Dakota State on Saturday... SO G Jamie Hagiya (2.20 spg) and SO G Eshaya Murphy (2.00 spg) rank eighth and 10th, respectively, in the Pac-10 in steals.

WASHINGTON: After playing four of its first five games at home, Washington is in the midst of a three-game road swing that includes stops at Denver Monday night and No. 3/3 Notre Dame on Saturday... The Huskies, who opened the current road swing with a 64-56 loss at Utah on Dec. 4, are 0-2 on the road this season... In the loss to the Utes, JR G Kayla Burt finished 12-of-14 from the charity stripe, career-highs in both categories, and scored 18 points, the most by any Husky this season.

WASHINGTON STATE: SR F Emma Joneby scored a career-high 15 points on a career-best seven field goals in WSU's 69-39 win over Portland State... The 39 points allowed by the Cougars were the fewest since Nov. 22, 1992, when the team defeated Gonzaga 88-37... In addition, the 30-point margin of victory was the largest for WSU since it defeated Wyoming 94-49, Nov. 24, 1998... Washington State ranks second in the Pac-10 in rebounding (40.8 rpg), while SO F Kate Benz (8.0 rpg) and Joneby (7.8 rpg) rank second and third in the league, respectively.
