No. 24 Oregon Drops to No. 7 Ohio State, 74-58

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Jessica Davenport had 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 10 Ohio State to a 73-58 victory over Oregon on Saturday night in the Nike Classic.

Caity Matter added 19 points and seven rebounds for the Buckeyes (10-1), who have won seven straight.

Catherine Kraayeveld led all scorers with 21 points for the Ducks (7-1).

Ohio State led by 13 points early in the second half when Davenport's jumper made it 37-24. But Oregon stayed in it, and closed to within 51-47 on Chelsea Wagner's two free throws.

Ohio State regrouped with a timeout and embarked on a 15-4 run, capped by Alice Jamen's jumper and Matter's pair of free throws to make it 66-51.

The Buckeyes, the Big Ten's best 3-point shooting team, hit six of 14 3-point attempts. Matter had one 3-pointer out of four tries, giving her 218 career 3s to tie her with Katie Smith for the Ohio State record.

Brandie Hoskins had 11 points and Ashley Allen added 10 for Ohio State, which led 31-22 at the half.

The Buckeyes outrebounded the Ducks 42-22.
