Women's Basketball Downs Oregon State, 73-45

Los Angeles, Calif. - No. 23/24 UCLA won its ninth consecutive home game, defeating Oregon State, 73-45, in Pauley Pavilion. Sophomore guard Noelle Quinn had a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds and nearly had a triple-double, recording eight steals.
The Bruins never trailed in the game and took its biggest first-half lead, 27-18, on Lisa Willis' 137th career three-pointer with three seconds left that gave her a new school record for career three-pointers (now 138). The Bruins had broken a 4-4 tie with a 10-2 run that made the score 14-6 with 11:26 to play. Quinn and Lindsey Pluimer had four points each during that run. Oregon State got as close as four on several occasions but never got closer.
OSU missed its first 17 three-pointers before Ebony Young hit one with 11:01 on the clock to make the score 49-33. The Beavers finished 1-23 from beyond the arc.
Joining Quinn in double-figure scoring were Blue (11 points, eight assists and six rebounds) and Pluimer (10 points for her third-straight double-figure scoring game). Tiffany Ducker led Oregon State with eight points and eight rebounds.
UCLA improves its record to 8-3, 2-0 in the Pac-10. Oregon State falls to 4-8, 0-3.
