Men's Swimming And Diving Returns From Holidays To Face Michigan

Stanford, Calif. - The fifth-ranked Stanford men's swimming and diving team returns from its holiday break and will face No. 9 Michigan on Friday, January 7, at 1 p.m. in the Avery Aquatic Center.

The 2004-05 season will mark the sixth consecutive year the two collegiate powers have met. Overall, Stanford holds a 10-4 advantage in the all-time series, including the last four meetings. Last season, the Cardinal captured a 215.5-191.5 victory in Ann Arbor, Mich.

This season, Stanford is ranked fifth nationally after starting the year 1-0 and placing first in the Speedo Cup on Nov. 18-20 in Long Beach, Calif.
