Women's Hoops Defeated By USC, 66-45

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Eshaya Murphy and Meghan Gnekow scored15 points apiece as Southern California scored a 66-45 victoryover No. 25 Arizona State in a Pac-10 Conference game.
The Trojans (12-4, 6-1 Pac-10) shot just 34 percent (11-of-32)from the floor but made five 3-pointers to take a 32-21 lead athalftime.
USC improved its second-half shooting total to 42 percent(10-of-24) to win its sixth consecutive game.
Jamie Funn scored 12 points and Brynn Cameron added 11 as theTrojans tied its season-high in victory margin. USC beatLoyola-Marymount, 77-56, on December 5.
Amy Denson led Arizona State (12-5, 4-3) with eight points. TheSun Devils have lost 46 of the 54 meetings with the Trojans,including the last five.
