SCOUTING THE ?Huskers - Nebraska is 3-2 in its last five conference games and are coming off a 76-69 win at Iowa State. The Cornhuskers return home for Senior Night to express gratitude to four players who have seen significant time over the years (Jake Muhleisen, Marcus Neal, Corey Simms, John Turek). NU is one of three teams in the Big 12 who have failed to win at least 10 home games (9-6) this season (Baylor, Colorado). Among NU's wins at home is there upset win over nationally ranked (then-No. 4/4) Oklahoma State, 74-67 back on Feb. 22.

CU vs. NEBRASKA - Depending on which media guide you're looking at, CU trails Nebraska in the all-time series, 69-66. Coach Patton teams are 9-10 against the Cornhuskers and only 2-6 in Lincoln since for the formation of the Big 12 in 1996-97. Last season, CU swept NU for the first time since the 1972-73. This year, the ?Huskers look for its first sweep of CU since 1998-99.

LAST TIME OUT - Jeremiah Massey had 28 points and 19 rebounds Saturday and Kansas State held off a late Colorado rally for an 84-82 victory in the "race" to stay out of 11th place in the Big 12. CU freshman Richard Roby made seven 3-pointers to hit 30 points for the first time in his career. The Buffs (13-13, 4-10), who now lead only Baylor in the Big 12, trailed by 16 with 5 minutes left, but got it down to two twice inside the last 20 seconds (complete story and box score on page 36).

LAST TIME vs. NEBRASKA (Jan. 12) - Freshman Joe McCray scored 21 points, including a clutch 3-pointer late that helped Nebraska hold off a big Colorado comeback for a 68-61 victory. McCray scored his team's first 11 points - a layup and three 3-pointers - but his most important bucket came with 1:34 left after Colorado had trimmed a 17-point deficit to four. Richard Roby (20 points) scored nine straight points to help Colorado pull within five with 4 minutes left (game story and box, page 30).

HAND OF GIVING - Marcus Hall leads CU with 111 assists this season adding to his 45 from last year. Entering today's game, the Houston Texas native ranks fourth among CU sophomores in season assists. He trails Jay Humphries by five assists for third place (116).

CONFERENCE MARK TO FALL - CU's amazing 3-point assault after 26 games has tied the conference mark of treys in a season (114). With 10 against Kansas State, CU is living and dying by the three in recent memory.

CU IN POST-SEASON PLAY - Under head coach Ricardo Patton, the Buffaloes are 4-8 in the Big 12 post-season. In 1998-99, 1999-2000,

2001-02, and 2002-03, CU advanced to the second round and finished 1-1. Last season was the highest a CU team was seeded since being No. 3 (11-5) back in 1996-97 (CU's history on pg. 8).

3's IN THE BIG 12 ONLY - Richard Roby is the highest CU player ranked among the conference elite players. Roby ranks second overall in 3-pointers made (3.00), while Andy Osborn is 12th (1.85), and Chris Copeland is tied for 15th (1.69). In trey percentage, Roby is fourth (.408). Oklahoma State leads CU in 3-pointers made in conference-only games 116 (8.29) to 114 (8.14), respectively.
