Tucson, Ariz. - No. 1 Stanford (11-0) defeated No. 48 Arizona (5-4) this afternoon at the Robson Tennis Center. The Wildcats won the doubles point, but the Cardinal responded with all six wins in singles for the 6-1 victory.

After losing the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches, Stanford rebounded quickly and won five of the singles points in straight sets. At the No. 1 spot, Amber Liu also remains unbeaten, as she picked up her seventh dual win of the season. Liu came back from a first set loss and scored a 6-3 second-set win before winning a 1-0 (10-7) tiebreaker in the third set, since Stanford had already secured the team victory.
