DALLAS -  The Big 12 Conference announced that University of Colorado sophomore Hannah Hoch was named the league's Women's Golfer of the Month.  She is the first player in the history of the program to earn the month honor.  Kansas State's Matt Van Cleave was named the men's player of the month.

With a 3-over-par 222, Hoch took medalist honors for the second time this season, just the third time in program history for a CU player, when she won the Miccosukee championship at the Miccosukee Country Club's par-73 look in Miami, the Buffs' first tournament of the spring season.  The Turlock, Calif. product led the 98-player field after the first two rounds of play with a four-stroke comfort zone over four players tied for second.  She maintained her lead after the third and final round, winning by two strokes.

Hoch and the Buffs travel to Salinas, Calif. this week to compete in the Spartan Invitation, hosted by San Jose State.
