Gentry and Kharbush advance at NCAA Tourney

Stanford wrestlers will see action on the second day of the NCAA tournament after defending champion Matt Gentry and Imad Kharbush won their matches. Gentry, the number three seed, swept through his bracket and will face Trent Paulson of Iowa State tomorrow. Kharbush will face Joe Mazzurco of Cornell.
Gentry won both of his matches with impressive technical falls, not allowing a single point. He scored 15 points in 5:00 against Danny Clum and scored another 15 against Matt Hill in 3:29.
Imad Kharbush won the first NCAA tournament matches of his collegiate career. He won a decision against Kenny Robertson 4-1, and then took down Jake Herbert repeatedly for a 16-7 win.
Action resumes tomorrow morning with the fourth round of wrestling (both Gentry and Kharbush received first-round byes).
