Junior co-captain Jessica Shu improved to 10-3 in dual matches, beating Jamie Peisel, 6-2; 6-4, on court five. Court six saw freshman Cristina Visico tally her 15th win of the year, beating Alexis Conill in straight sets, 6-2; 6-2.

The Bears clinched the win on court one in a tremendous match which featured two of the nation's top-ranked players, both freshmen, Cal's No. 4 Suzi Babos and the Wildcat's No. 3 Audra Cohen. Babos recovered after dropping the first set to Cohen, coming away the winner, 4-6; 6-2; 6-4. The win pushes Babos' dual match record to 11-2.
