No. 1 Stanford Hosts No. 25 Oregon On Saturday At 11:00 AM

Stanford, Calif.- The No. 1 ranked Stanford women's tennis team will host No. 25 ranked Oregon at the Taube Family Tennis Center on Saturday morning at 11:00 am. The match, originally scheduled for a 12:00 pm start, has been moved up an hour.

Two-time NCAA singles champion Amber Liu is the top-ranked Cardinal competitor, checking in at No. 14 in the ITA rankings. Senior Erin Burdette is right on Liu's heels at the No. 16 spot, while junior Alice Barnes and freshman Lejla Hodzic check in at No. 26 and No. 29, respectively. Sophomore Theresa Logar is ranked No. 38, and freshman Whitney Deason is currently ranked No. 45. Anne Yelsey rounds out the Cardinal singles competitors in the rankings at No. 86.

Two Stanford doubles tandems are also ranked, as the duo of Burdette and Barnes is ranked No. 12 and the pairing of Liu and Yelsey is currently No. 38.

Oregon enters Saturday's match with a 13-3 record and a 2-2 mark in conference play after falling to California on Friday. Senior Daria Panova has recorded a 12-3 mark at the No. 1 singles position for Oregon.

Saturday's match against the Ducks tips off a four-match home stand for the Cardinal. Coach Lele Forood's squad hosts Cal next Wednesday, before taking on Arizona State and Arizona in the Stanford Spring Smash presented by Zoom Marketing on April 1st and 2nd, respectively.
