No. 29 California Loses Close Match to No. 19 Oregon

Seattle, WA - The No. 29 California men's tennis team fell to No. 19 Oregon, 4-3, at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. With the loss, the Golden Bears fall to 7-8 overall, 1-1 in the Pac-10.

The Bears lost the doubles point, but picked up a win on court three. Dean Wallace and Lennart Maack teamed up to defeat Andy Kuharzsky and Mike Ricks, 8-6.

In singles, the Bears managed to sweep the bottom half of the lineup. Sophomore Daniel Sebescen notched a win on court four, where he defeated Daniel Chu, 6-3; 6-2. Sophomore Tyler Browne won in straight sets, beating Kuharzsky, 6-3; 6-2.

Freshman Ken Nakahara was victorious on court six, where he defeated Peter Scharler in two sets, 6-4; 6-3.

Cal remains on the road, where they next face Arizona Friday, April 1 in Tucson, AZ.
