Baseball Swings Back Into Action Against No. 2 Cal State Fullerton

Having not played since a March 13 loss to Texas A&M, UCLA will throw its 2005 season back into gear Tuesday evening as the Bruins host the defending national champions, Cal State Fullerton at 6 p.m. The Bruins will be facing a Titan squad which held the number one national ranking last week before losing two of three games to a very hot Long Beach State team over the weekend. Now at No. 2, Fullerton stands at 17-6 while UCLA sits with a 7-13 overall mark.

Freshman Debut
UCLA freshman left-hander Brendan Lafferty (0-1, 13.50) will make his first career start on Tuesday evening. The Riverside, California, native has appeared six times for the Bruins out of the bullpen this season, including a season best 3.1 inning outing against Cal State Fullerton during a 14-4 loss on March 6.

UCLA Head Coach John Savage is just five wins away from notching career head coaching win No. 100. Savage entered the season with 88 career wins and is now at 95.
