Bruins Third after Two Rounds at Western Intercollegiate

The 13th-ranked UCLA men's golf team was third after 36 holes in the 59th Annual Western Intercollegiate, hosted by San Jose State at Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, CA.

The Bruins posted a two-round score of 586 (+26) and trail first-place Oregon by four shots. Kansas was second at 584, Stanford was fifth at 589, followed by UC Irvine at 590.

Freshman Daniel Im was in second place at 140 (E) after posting rounds of 68-72. He trailed J.J. Scurich of Cal Poly by two shots. Scurich posted rounds of 68-70. Freshman Kevin Chappell was tied for 12th place at 145 (+5) and sophomore Chris Heintz was tied for 28th at 149 (+9). Sophomore Peter Campbell was tied for 61st at 154 and Joakim Renstrom was tied for 73rd at 156.

Final round action continues Tuesday.
