Trojans Trek To Texas Thursday

April 6, 2005

Coming off a slow weekend in Los Angeles and Northridge, the USC men's and women's track and field teams are rested and ready to compete in the 78th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays from Thursday, April 7 to Saturday, April 9 in Austin, Texas.

The meet, one of the largest in the country, is hosted by the University of Texas (Austin) and starts Wednesday at the Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin. The first event to feature a Trojan athlete is the women's hammer competition beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.

The Trojans posted several outstanding marks at last year's meet and are looking for even stronger performances this year. The men's sprinting unit has not competed since March and is ready to put up some big points for the Trojans.

ESPNU will broadcast the final day of the Texas Relays on tape-delay Saturday, April 16, at 2:30 p.m.(Central). For complete results, please visit
