USC Women's Rowing Sweeps Loyola Marymount

USC women's rowing defeated Loyola Marymount in all four races Saturday morning at the USC Boathouse in the Port of Los Angeles. The USC Varsity Eight, with a time of 6:36.10, led the Trojans in a convincing victory over LMU, who finished with a time of 6:57.38.

The Varsity Eight lineup consists of Kathryn Weslow (cox) Simone Manhold, Barbora Varekova, Ligita Kaviere, Dunja Pejcic, Anna Efremova, Diana Ivanova, Laura McDaniel and Tatiana Boldyreva.

In the Varsity Four match-up, USC competed with both an 'A' and 'B' team. The 'A' team (7.31.87) posted the largest margin of victory for the day with a 33.3 second lead over the Lions. The USC 'B' team (8.03.13) finished just over a second ahead of LMU, who posted a time of 8.04.51.

The JV Eight (6:53.08) and the Novice 8 (7:20.27) both clocked decisive wins against their opponents, who turned in times of 7:26.18 and 7:35.19, respectively.

The Women of Troy are ranked 12th in the CRCA/US Rowing poll that came out April 6.
