The UCLA men's track and field team will split three ways this weekend as the Bruins compete at the Sun Angel Invitational in Tempe, AZ, Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, CA and the Long Beach Relays in Long Beach, CA.

The distance corps will head to Mt. SAC on Sunday, Apr. 17 as seniors Ben Aragon and Jon Rankin, juniors Erik Emilsson and Martell Munguia, and freshman Mike Haddan are slated to compete. Aragon and Rankin will run in the invitational 800m, while Munguia will run in the Olympic Development/University Open 800m. Emilsson is competing in the invitational 3000m steeplechase and Haddan will run in the open 800m, and possibly the 1500m.

The throwers, along with the majority of the sprint group will head to Tempe, AZ for Sun Angel on Saturday, Apr. 16. Events begin at 8:00 am with the hammer throw and end at 9:00 pm with the 4x400m relay team.

Freshman Kevin Ahlstrom, sophomore Mike Elbogen and junior Matt Bruno will head to Long Beach for the LB Relays on Saturday, Apr. 16.

The Bruins are coming off of a sensational weekend in which several athletes achieved regional qualifying standards and produced lifetime-bests at the third annual Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational. Although they are not ranked in the current Trackwire Top-25, UCLA is poised for an impressive showing at Pac-10's, West Region and NCAA's.
