Huskies in 11th Place at U.S. Intercollegiate

Stanford, CA - The 26th-ranked Washington men's golf team turned in rounds of 295 and 293 to stand 11th at 588 in the 18-team field at the U.S. Intercollegiate at Stanford. The Huskies were led by Alex Prugh and Sterling Clark, who both shot 7-over 147. Both players shot 75 in the morning and 72 during the afternoon.
USC leads the field by 10 strokes at 2-over 562 after 36 holes of play. The Trojans' Bradley Shaw owns a one-shot lead in stroke play after shooting 4-under 136.
Fresno State is second at 572, UCLA third at 575 and San Diego State fourth at 579. Eight teams are separated by just four strokes between fifth and 11th place.
Husky James Lepp was 39th at 148 after rounds of 76 and 72 while Zach Bixler was one stroke behind him after opening with a 72 and shooting 77 during the afternoon. Erik Olson is 58th after shooting 73 and 78.
The tournament is UW's final regular season event of the year before the Pac-10 Championships. The final round of the tournament will be held Sunday.
