Dergal, Schreefel Continue To Lead Troy At Pac-10 Championships

For the second straight day, freshman Dewi-Claire Schreefel and junior Tanya Dergal led the Trojans as USC maintained second place on the second day of the three-day 2005 Pac-10 Women's Golf Championships at Ruby Hill Golf Club in Pleasanton, Calif., on Tuesday (April 19).

Schreefel shot a par 72 to remain at one under for the tournament while Dergal's 73 dropped her to one under as well. As a team, USC shot a combined 295 (+7), leaving it +10 for the tournament and seven shots behind leader UCLA. Arizona and Arizona State are tied for third at +13.

Sophomore Verinoca Felibert shot a 74 while fellow soph Catalina Marin shot a 76 for the second day in a row. Freshman Paola Moreno rounded out the quintet with an 82.

Dergal and Schreefel are tied for fifth, seven shots behind Kim Welch of Washington State. Marin is tied for 19th at 152 (+8) while Felibert is tied for 27th at 154 (+10). Moreno is tied for 33rd at 156 (+12).

Felibert had four birdies and an eagle on the day while Schreefel had five birdies.
