Men's Tennis Players Round at Play at Pac-10 Championships

Ojai, Calif. -One UCLA singles player and two doubles teams dropped semifinal matches Saturday at the 2005 Pac-10 Championships at Ojai's Libbey Park. The losses conclude UCLA's involvement in the tournament.

Bruin freshman Mathieu Dehaine lost to Cal's Ken Nakahara, 3-6, 6-0, 6-4 in the Pac-10 Invitational Singles Draw. Seniors Alberto Francis and Kris Kwinta dropped an 8-4 decision to Stanford's KC Corkery and Sam Warburg in the main doubles draw. In the semifinals of the Pac-10 Invitational Doubles Draw, Dehaine and Chris Lam fell to USC's Jeff Kazarian/Kaes Van't Hof, 8-6.

UCLA now awaits the announcement of the 64-team NCAA Tournament Draw, which is due out in early May.
