Trojans Compete In Final Day Of UCSD Triton Invitational

SAN DIEGO - The USC men's and women's track team sent a partial squad to San Diego to compete in the UCSD Triton Invitational on Friday and Saturday (April 22-23). Freshman Jessica Onyepunuka ran 11.78 against the wind to win the 100m competition on Saturday.

Sophomore Tara Davis-Quarrie ran a personal-best 56.34 to place eighth in the 400m. Junior Tunisia Johnson marked 15.06 in her first attempt at the 100m hurdles this season for ninth place.

For the men, San Diego native Da'Sean Cunningham ran 22.35 against strong winds in his first 200m race of the season (20th). The sophomore also ran the 800m, finishing 13th at 1:55.71.

The Trojans will be back in action next weekend as the team hosts cross-town rival UCLA Saturday (April 30) at the 72nd Annual USC/UCLA Dual Meet.
