Hayes Leads USC's Day Three Efforts At Pac-10 Championships

Senior Ben Hayes shot a one-over 72 to lead the USC men's golf team, which finished the third day of the 72-hole 2005 Men's Pac-10 Golf Championships in eighth at the Walla Walla (Wash.) Country Club on Tuesday (April 25).

Arizona State moved into the overall lead with a three-day total of 1,058 (-7) with UCLA three strokes back at 1,061. USC, which shot a day-three 368 today, is in eighth at 1,082.

Hayes led the Trojans with a team-low round of 72 and was followed by Jordan Nasser's and Tyler Ley's 73s, Joshua Wooding's and Bradley Shaw's 75 and Taylor Wood's 76.

Ley is USC's overall leader at 213 (even), tied for 11th while Wood is at 215 (+2), tied for 18th. Nasser follows at 217 (+4), Wooding enters the final day at 219 (+6), Hayes is at 221 (+8) and Shaw is at 226 (+13).

The tournament concludes on Wednesday.
