Bruins Rally For 4-2 Pac-10 Victory Over California

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Freshman Mike Metzger's two-out, two-RBI pinch-hit single in the bottom of the eighth inning lifted UCLA over California, 4-2 Sunday afternoon in the finale of this weekend's Pac-10 series. Brian Schroeder (2-5) earned the victory for UCLA with two innings of perfect relief as UCLA (10-30, 1-11 Pac-10) picked up its first conference win of the year.

Schroeder and starter Brant Rustich limited the Golden Bears to just two hits. Will Penniall's solo home run in the eighth tied the game at 2-2 and Chris Jensen was a perfect 3-for-3 for UCLA.
