Bruins Tied for 10th after First Round of NCAA Regional

The No.2 ranked UCLA women's golf team was tied for 10th place after the first round of the NCAA West Regional at the University Golf Course in Albuquerque, NM.

The Bruins posted a team score of 304 (+16) and were 13 shots off the lead. Tennessee took the first round lead with a score of 291 (+3), followed by USC at 293 (+5). Georgia and Cal were tied for third at 296 (+8) and BYU was fifth at 298 (+10).

UCLA sophomore Hannah Jun, the defending West Regional champion, posted a score of 74 (+2) and was tied for 16th. Freshman Amie Cochran was tied for 32nd at 76 (+4) and senior Melissa Martin and junior Susie Mathews were tied for 45th at 77 (+5). Senior Charlotte Mayorkas was tied for 61st at 78 (+6).

BYU's Rachel Newren and Cal's Sophia Sheridan were tied for first place after posting scores of 69 (-3).
