Lutz Named Husky Assistant Gymnastics Coach

Seattle - Jeff Lutz, a former All-American gymnast from the University of Oklahoma, has been hired as a full-time assistant coach of the Washington gymnastics team. Lutz joined head coach Bob Levesque's coaching staff on an interim basis in February to replace Frank Lee, who resigned to pursue a career outside of athletics.

Lutz, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, was the captain of Oklahoma's 1991 NCAA National Championship team. He earned All-American honors five times while competing for the Sooners, highlighted by a second-place finish on rings in 1991.

Lutz and his wife, Linda, own Gymnastics Express in Auburn, Wash. He is a 1992 graduate of Oklahoma.
