UCLA Bruins Down Bankstown Bruins, 83-70

Bankstown, Australia - The UCLA women's basketball team remained undefeated on its Australian tour, defeating the Bankstown Bruins, 83-70, at Bankstown Stadium. Four Bruins scored in double figures, including Lisa Willis, who had a team-high 21 points.

UCLA broke open a close game in the fourth quarter, outscoring Bankstown, 28-16. Willis made three three-pointers to lead the scoring outburst, totaling nine points in the quarter. Noelle Quinn had seven points in the period, and Lindsey Pluimer scored six of her 19 points in the quarter.

Joining Willis and Pluimer in double-figure scoring were Quinn with 16 points and Nikki Blue with 11. Also scoring for the Bruins were birthday girl Lauren Pedersen with five points, Consuelo Lezcano with four, Shaina Zaidi with three, and Julia Pitts and Sissy Pickett with two apiece.

UCLA flies to Cairns Wednesday morning and will conclude its exhibition tour with a game against the Townsville Fire on Thursday, June 30.
