Cougar Swimming Earns Academic Accolades

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State University women's swim team finished third in the nation with a 3.57 GPA in the spring 2005 semester according to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
WSU has finished in the top four nationally in GPA all six semesters under head coach Erica Quam.
In addition to WSU's team honor, the Cougars garnered individual academic honors. Sophomores Erin McCleave (Rutherglen, Australia, 3.78 GPA) and Kayli Changstrom (Loveland, Colo., 3.66 GPA) and junior Jane Copland (Wellington, New Zealand, 3.51 GPA) were all named Honorable Mention All-Academic.
To be eligible for individual honors, a student-athlete must have achieved an NCAA Consideration mark and posted a GPA of 3.50 or above.
