Lepp in Second Place at BC Amateur

Seattle - Husky senior James Lepp got off to a solid start in his attempt to defend his British Columbia Amateur Championship. Lepp shot 6-under 66 at the Gorge Vale Golf Club and trails one competitor by two strokes. Lepp has won the tournament the past three years. The 72-hole tournament runs through Friday.

Washington sophomore Sterling Clark shot 2-over 72 during the second round of stroke play at the 80th U.S. Men's Amateur Public Links Championship at the Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon, Ohio. Clark finished the 36 holes of stroke play at 13-over 153 and tied for 101st, failing to make the qualifying cut to match play. He missed the cut by four strokes.

Husky junior Erik Olson will begin play at the 30th Annual Fuji Xerox USA vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship Wednesday at Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif.
