Mackenzie Advances in Match Play at Trans Am

Southern Pines, NC - Husky senior Paige Mackenzie advanced to the round of 16 of match play at the 75th Women's Trans National Golf Association championship at the Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club in Southern Pines, N.C. Mackenzie defeated Mallory Hetzel 3 and 2 in the round of 32.
Mackenzie, the top seed in match play, was scheduled to face Giselle Claux during the afternoon round Friday.
Washington junior Amber Prange was eliminated from the tournament in the second round, falling 1 up to Garrett Phillips.
The quarterfinals and semifinals of the Trans Am are slated for Saturday and the 36-hole final will take place Sunday.
The Trans Am is considered one of the nation's three top amateur tournaments for women.
