Olson Fails in Bid for Final 16 at Trans Am

Benton Harbor, MI - Washington junior Alex Prugh finished the fourth round of play at the 103rd Western Amateur Golf Championship at the Point O'Woods Golf and Country Club in Benton Harbor, Mich. and failed to advance to Saturday's round of 16.
Prugh carded a 6-over 76 Friday morning to drop down the leaderboard, but rallied with a 2-under 68 during the afternoon to complete the first four rounds at 6-over 286. His score was one stroke short of advancing to Saturday's play. Prugh had back-to-back scores of 71 during the first two rounds to make the first cut at the tournament.
Olympia's Andre's Gonzales used a 3-under 67 during the fourth round to grab the overall lead at 3-under 277.
