Football Single-Game Tickets On Sale Thursday
Aug. 3, 2005
The Sun Devil Ticket Office will begin sales of single game football tickets to the public starting at 9 a.m. this Thursday, August 4. Tickets will be available online at www.thesundevils.com, at the ticket office located at the south end of Sun Devil Stadium or by phone at 480-727-0000.
Included in the Sun Devil home schedule is a trip from defending national champion USC on Oct. 1, who enters the 2005 season on a 22-game winning streak behind 2004 Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart. Other games include Temple (Thursday, Sept. 1), Big Ten member Northwestern (Sept. 17), Oregon (Oct. 8) and Washington (Oct. 29), while rival Arizona visits Sun Devil Stadium the day after Thanksgiving (Friday, Nov. 25) for a 1 p.m. contest on Fox Sports Net.
As an incentive to order online, the cost of an order will be less than it would be over the phone. Fans will not have to wait on hold, and will be able to pick their section just as they would over the phone.
Four game times are already set, as the Temple and Northwestern games will kick-off at 7 p.m. The Washington game on Oct. 29 is Homecoming and will begin at 3:30 p.m., while the Arizona game is at 1 p.m. on Fox Sporst Net. The USC and Oregon game times and television broadcasts will be announced by the Pac-10 in September.
Tickets for all home games are available on-line, in person and over phone, while road game tickets will be available over the phone or in person only.
ASU enters the season on a seven-game win streak at Frank Kush Field, as it went 6-0 last year. It marked just the second undefeated home record in the past 18 seasons, joining the 7-0 Sun Devils' 1996 Pac-10 champion squad in that time.
ASU, picked to finish third by the Pac-10 media this year, returns preseason All-Americans Derek Hagan and Zach Miller along with 2004 Sun Bowl MVP Sam Keller. The Sun Devils finished last year ranked 19th in the final Associated Press poll and 20th in the final Coaches' Poll.
