Cho, Felibert Lead USC At Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational

Senior Irene Cho maintained her tough play and junior Veronica Felibert also stepped up as the Women of Troy golf team moved up the leaderboard to finish tied for fifth after the second day of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational at the Sahalee C.C. in Sammamish, Wash., on Tuesday (Oct. 11).
No. 16 USC finished the second day with a combined 304 (+16), the third lowest round of the day. It is a combined 616 (+40) for the competition, 21 strokes back of leader Arizona State after 36 of 54 holes.
Cho, tied for sixth overall (150, +6), fired off her second consecutive 75 (+3). She is eight shots out of first with a round to play. Junior Veronica Felibert rebounded from a tough first round to also card a 75 (+3), posting three birdies in the process, and is tied for 45th at 158 (+14).
Sophomore Dewi-Claire Schreefel also improved from round one to two, shooting a 77 (+5) for a two-day score of 157 (+13). Sophomore Paola Moreno, who had a 78 on Monday, followed it with a 77 (+5) and is tied for 32nd at 155 (+11). Junior Catalina Marin had a 78 (+6) and is tied with Schreefel at 157.
The tournament concludes Wednesday (Oct. 12).
