LOS ANGELES - The fourth-ranked UCLA women's soccer team kept its perfect Pac-10 record in tact, posting a 3-0 victory over Washington Friday evening at Drake Stadium. With the win, UCLA moves to 14-1 on the season and 4-0 in the conference. The Huskies remain winless on the year at 0-13-3 and 0-5 in the Pac-10.

UCLA's first goal came in the 27th minute on a header by sophomore midfielder Danesha Adams. Adams registered her team-leading 13th goal of the season by redirecting a ball sent into the box by defender Jill Oakes. Adams, who added an assist later on in the match, has a team-best 28 points on the year.

The Bruins scored again at the 36:49 mark on freshman Blake Zerboni's first career goal. Zerboni received a pass on the right side from fellow freshman Christina DiMartino, hitting a hard shot across the mouth of the goal. The ball, which looked to be heading in on its own, was actually tipped in by a Washington defender.

Senior forward Iris Mora put the Bruins up 3-0 in the 62nd minute when she converted a penalty kick after being taken down in the Washington box. It was her sixth goal of the season.

Freshman forward Kara Lang capped the scoring for UCLA in the 68th minute when she took off on a breakaway after receiving a through ball from Adams. With two defenders on her heels, Lang was able to slip in a shot past the outstretched hands of Washington goalkeeper Kelsey Rasmussen.

Washington's best opportunity to score came in the 82nd minute on a hard shot by Dani Bridges that deflected off the cross bar before being cleared by a UCLA defender.

With a comfortable lead throughout the match, UCLA head coach Jillian Ellis was able to get a total of 20 players into the match, including three goalkeepers. Valerie Henderson got the victory in goal, playing the entire first half. Freshman Kelsey Davis and sophomore Ashley Thompson took over in the second half. The Bruins outshot the Huskies, 17-5 on the evening.

Next up for UCLA is a meeting with Washington State this Sunday at Drake Stadium beginning at 1:00 p.m.
