FSN Northwest to Televise UW-Oregon State Football Game

Seattle - Washington and Oregon State have agreed to move the time of their Nov. 5 game at Husky Stadium to 3:30 p.m. to allow for a live telecast on FSN Northwest. The game was originally scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m.

The opportunity to televise the game in the local market became available today when it was not selected by ABC for is 12:30 window that day or by TBS for its 7 p.m. broadcast that evening. ABC will show California at Oregon on that date and TBS will carry Stanford's game at USC.

The Huskies' Nov. 5 matchup with Oregon State is Washington's homecoming.

'We anticipated this might be a possibility several months ago and we talked with everyone associated with the homecoming activities so they could plan for a later start,' said Husky athletics director Todd Turner. 'We appreciate our partners at FSN Northwest working with us to televise this game locally and being able to make this announcement today to accommodate the schedules of our fans who plan on attending the game in person.'

The Oregon State contest is the seventh Husky game selected to be televised this year. ABC Sports carried the Air Force, California, Notre Dame and USC games. FSN Northwest aired the Huskies game at UCLA and FSN has already selected the Apple Cup for broadcast.'

FSN Northwest will use the broadcasting trio of Brian Davis, Sonny Sixkiller and Steve Preece to call the action.
