Stanford vs. USC: Stanford is 9-2-1 against USC ... Last season, the Cardinal won a 1-0 decision in Los Angeles ... In 2001, the teams battled to a 1-1 draw, but the Cardinal has not lost to the Trojans since 1998, when USC posted a 2-1 victory in Palo Alto.

Scouting the Trojans: USC had its 10-game scoring streak snapped with a 0-0 tie at Oregon State on Oct. 14 ... Scouting the Bruins: The fourth-ranked Bruins hosted the Washington schools last weekend, posting a 4-0 victory over winless Washington on Friday before playing to a 0-0 draw with Washington State on Sunday, as the Bruins picked up their 10th and 11th shutouts of the season ... UCLA remains unbeaten in its last 11 matches..

Buehler Bullets: Stanford sophomore Rachel Buehler was honored after netting the game winning goals against No. 5 Santa Clara and Colorado College to help the Cardinal to the 2005 Stanford Nike Invitational title on Sept. 30 & Oct. 2 ... The goal against the Broncos was the first one in Buehler's collegiate career ... She was named Pac-10 Player of the Week and was also named to the Top Drawer Soccer and Soccer Buzz National Teams of the Week.

Hunt Hints: Senior co-captain Hayley Hunt was selected to the named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week after helping the Cardinal to a pair of shutout victories over the Washington schools in the opening weekend of Pac-10 play ... The defender has helped Stanford to seven shutouts this season, while tacking on two assists ... Both assists were on game-winning goals, the first against Colorado College and the second against Washington State ... In the preseason, Hunt was named a MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List candidate.

Strong Schedule: Stanford has one of the toughest schedules in the nation this season, having already faced three of the top-five teams with a fourth on tap this week (No. 4 UCLA on Oct. 30) ... Eight of the Cardinal's 2005 opponents are currently ranked in the top-25 by the NSCAA Poll.
