Women's Rowing Opens Fall Season at Head of the American

The USC women's rowing team opens its fall season this weekend in Sacramento, Calif., at the Head of the American on Saturday (Oct. 29), on the banks of the American River at Lake Natoma. The one-day regatta is hosted by the CSUS Aquatic Center and features West Coast rowing programs.

Due to an injury in the Varsity 4+ boat USC is only sending three varsity boats. Their will be two to compete in the Women's Open 8+ and one to compete in the Women's Open 4+. The Eights will race first at 12:30 p.m. followed by the Fours at 1:30 p.m.

The Trojans will have their first chance to see 2005 national champions California, as well as Stanford, UC Irvine, UC Davis, Sacramento State, Long Beach State and Sonoma State.
