Nov. 3, 2005
Washington juniors Daniel Chu and Alex Slovic became the first Husky doubles pair to advance to the Doubles Quarterfinal at the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships. Slovic also played an opening round singles match where he was defeated in three sets.

The Huskies then rallied off two more consecutive points to capture the victory 9-8(6).
In singles action Slovic lost a close three set match to Raian Luchici of North Carolina. Slovic captured the first set 5-7, but was unable to close out the match losing the next two 6-4, 7-6. The match was surprisingly tight even though Slovic tallied 77 unforced errors throughout its duration.
