Fodor and Kusano Fall in First Round of Singles at ITA National Indoors

COLUMBUS, Ohio - California Zsuzsanna Fodor and Stephanie Kusano fell in the first round of singles play Thursday at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Indoor Championships in Columbus, Ohio. The tournament is being hosted by Ohio State at the Racquet Club of Columbus.

Cal's No. 7-seeded Zsuzsanna Fodor was defeated by Diana Srebovic of Florida, 6-2, 6-1. Teammate Stephanie Kusano fell to William & Mary's Megan Muth, 6-4, 7-6. Fodor concludes the fall season with a 7-3 singles record, while Kusano finishes 7-5 on the singles court.

The Indoor Championships wrap-up the fall season for the Bears. The team returns to action at the Michigan Invitational, Jan. 13-15, 2006, in Ann Arbor, Mich.
